I love this site for daily inspiration. I’m sure everyone must know about it by now… but in case you live under a rock… check it out. :)
I’m trying to fall asleep, but the out-tro (is that a word? Like the opposite of intro?) anyway, the closing…. signing off… exit, music of the Lawrence Welk show is playing on repeat in my head. I used to watch it every night with my grandma. And she’d try to teach me how to dance “the proper way, not like the kids dance now-a-days”.
I wasn’t any good then, am still not now, but I rather prefer a waltz to ” booty dancing” any day.
Good night, sleep tight and pleasant dreams to you
Here’s a wish and prayer that every dream comes true
And though it’s always sweet sorrow to part
I know you’ll always remain in my heart
Good night, sleep tight and pleasant dreams to you
Here’s a wish and a prayer that every dream comes true
And now ‘til we meet again
Adios, au revior, auf weidersehen…..Good Night!
I will not buy. I will not buy. I will not buy.
Not even those amazing booties by Jeffery Campbell that I love so much. I’m pretty sure they are the secret to life long happiness…
I will not buy. I will not buy. I will not buy.
You are killing me with all these amazing shoes.
I will not spend.I will not spend.I will not spend. I will not spend.
This city, it’s so funny. So unique. No where else will you find another like it. Full of families and transients, fallen dreams and bright young stars. It can be your best friend or your worst enemy.
If you let it.
I chose to dig in my heels, to not give in to the loneliness and feeling of isolation that accompanied my move to Los Angeles almost 4 years ago. Because stronger than either of those feelings was one of elation, of exploration, of adventure. Anything was (is) possible.
There are millions of people in this little ole desert town. It’s easy to get lost. But not you know yourself, you are never lost. Pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone is never easy. If it was we would all be skydivers, circus performers, stunt pilots, and deep sea divers. Going outside your comfort zone is.. well, UN comfortable. But to really feel accomplishment and satisfaction, I believe it is of utmost importance.
So… what do YOU want to do? Move to Italy? Possible! Learn French? Possible! Meet new people? Possble! Lose 10 pounds? Possible! Take yoga classes? Possible!
But none of this is possible if you don’t DO it. If you don’t push yourself, at least a little. Do it.
You”ll be so happy you did.
Most regrets in life are of things we did NOT do.
xoxoxo
I studded a hoodie of mine the other day. My bf laughed at me when I told him. I don’t blame him, it does conjure up images of angsty Avril Levigne, no?
But, 200 silver studs and 10 sore fingers later, I think it looks awesome.
I know he’s jealous I have a studded hoodie and he doesn’t.
